Sean Sevy, one of our Soilet Engineer Interns in India last summer, was recently recognized as a 2012 American Red Cross Hero. He was recognized for his work on the soilet project with HELP International, to build and install innovative sewage treatment systems in some of India's poorest areas that were lacking any waste management. The lack of waste management caused many illnesses, some of which are life-threatening. Sean overcame language barriers and the resistance of local people to learning modern methods of construction.

This video presents our sustainable development soillet project in Belize. Soillets are an environmentally-friendly septic solution. They are easy to install and less than half the cost of the alternate toilet septic tank. Soillets help prevent water contamination in underdeveloped areas. Check out our video to learn more about HELP's sustainable development initiatives!
Annual Conference Training
Our annual conference training is coming up this Saturday, April 7, 2012. The training will be held at the BYU Conference Center in Provo, Utah. The trainings will begin at 8:00 am and end at 5:00 pm. To view the event schedule you can visit our website at help-international.org.
