Construction Projects

HELP International engages in many construction projects each year. In El Salvador, we often partner with Habitat for Humanity to build homes for impoverished families. Another typical construction project is to build chicken coops, mushroom houses, and pig pens. These structures provide families, schools, and orphanages with a sustainable form of income.

In 2010, we built classrooms, hospital patient rooms, and several profit generating livestock structures. In 2008, a HELP International Uganda participant studying construction management facilitated a local workshop that taught school drop-outs how to be carpenters. He taught the manager of the workshop and the students how to draft their own designs, so that they were no longer reliant on buying them. This knowledge freed the workshop from a perpetual debt and gave the students a valuable skill that will bless their lives.
